Jeffrey Eckstein and Senator Briggs Hopson signifying the much anticipated LMRM grand opening. Over 500 toured the Lower Mississippi River Museum&nbsp;on Friday, August 24, 2012 following the Grand Opening Ceremony.</p>				  ]]></description>

					<img border="0" class="ccm-image-block" alt="" src="/files/1013/4210/9264/savethedate.jpg" width="695" height="240" /><p>The Grand Opening of the Lower Mississippi River Museum will be held on <strong>Friday, August 24, 2012</strong> at 910 Washington Street, Vicksburg, MS beginning at <strong>9am</strong>.&nbsp; The Museum, River Flood Model, and M/V <em>Mississippi IV</em> will be open to visitors until 5pm.&nbsp; The day will include an opening ceremony at 9am at the Museum and a &ldquo;Meet the Artist&rdquo; event that afternoon.&nbsp; The Southeastern Archaeological Research, Inc. team responsible for the installations aboard the M/V <em>Mississippi IV</em> will be available throughout the day to answer questions and lead tours of the vessel.</p>				  ]]></description>

				  <title>M/V Mississippi IV Exhibit Installation</title>

					<img border="0" class="ccm-image-block" alt="" src="/files/8513/4210/9779/install.jpg" width="695" height="240" /><p>Installation aboard the M/V <em>Mississippi IV</em> is ongoing and will be completed mid-August 2012.&nbsp; The upcoming installation schedule includes the Pilot House boat simulator, interactive kiosks, audio, and information panels throughout the vessel.&nbsp; Staging items are nearly complete and the Exhibit Rooms are starting to fill up as well.&nbsp; Three outdoor information panels will be installed soon &ndash; these will have metal &ldquo;waves&rdquo; installed the week of the Grand Opening.&nbsp; Be sure to hang around Opening Day (August 24) for the &ldquo;Meet the Artist&rdquo; event!</p>				  ]]></description>
